I had such an amazing birthday! great music and great time with friends!

I got such sweet gifts this year; a new seat for the ol' bicycle, and a basket so I can run to the grocery, or bring books to the park.

I also bought a book recently that I am stoked to put into practice. My mom snuck into our house, while we were in Austin, to look through it and see what supplies I needed to kick start my newest hobby! Once again so stoked...

This first blog is being written in my parents living room. We are camping out here, waiting to see what Gustav is going to bring to our coast. I cannot even imagine this storm being as disastrous as the last ONE. We shall see. 

This time I am here for the long haul. 

Take care everyone. I will be at home with my family, our generator, and teetering pine trees. Eh.
